The Haruki Marukami Reading Challenge is, as the name suggests, a reading challenge with the simple goal of encouraging you to read one or more books by Haruki Murakami over the course of a year. Whether you're completely new to Murakami, or are already a huge fan, everyone is welcome to join in. It's a very flexible challenge, the emphasis is entirely on having fun exploring, or perhaps re-discovering, some of Haruki Murakami's surreal worlds.

For all the details and to sign-up for the 2012 Challenge, visit the Haruki Murakami Reading Challenge 2012 sign-up post.

For a list of Haruki Murakami's books available in English, visit the Books Page.

If you have any new or old reviews of Murakami's books to share, please submit links to them on the Reviews Page. You do not have to be a participant in the challenge to share your Murakami reviews but of course we'd love to have you join us.

For more information on Haruki Murakami and his books, visit the Haruki Murakami Wikipedia page or exorcising ghosts: haruki murakami resources in english.

You can receive updates about the challenge during the year by subscribing to the Murakami Challenge Blog Feed, following the Murakami Challenge Twitter Account, or the Murakami Challenge Facebook Page.

Please note that I am not personally affiliated with Haruki Murakami or any of his publishers. I am simply a fan who thought it would be fun to host a reading challenge focused on the weird and wonderful stories of Haruki Murakami.
